Frequently Asked Questions

At Pottery Palette, we aim for your experience to run as smoothly as possibly, below you will find answers to some questions you may have or may not have thought of yet.

Is booking in advance required?

We do recommend booking in advance on our website to avoid disappointment, however if we have space, we will always try to fit you in even without a booking. Booking for larger groups of 6 people or more is essential.
 

What are the costs?

We charge a studio fee of £5 per person, attending this covers all the paints and equipment used, but also our professional glazing and firing of your items to ensure a fantastic, high-quality result. You then select your pottery with prices ranging from £10 - £40.

Is there an age restriction?

NO! we welcome anyone of any age, whether that is capturing newborn prints in a memory, or having fun with family and friends of all ages.

How Long is each Painting session?

Our painting sessions are up to 1 hour 45 minutes.

When will my Pottery be ready for Collection?

We aim to have your pottery ready as soon as possible for you, but this will be between 1 – 2 weeks. This is subject to change during seasonal peaks.

Are your paints Safe?

All our paints are water based, they are non-toxic, food safe, and they wash off yourself or clothes very easily. Aprons are not compulsory but if you are concerned, we can provide you with an apron.

When booking do I need to book for everyone attending?

YES, please book for everyone in your group, including non- painters, we will want to ensure we have space for everyone. The studio fee for non-painters will be deducted from your final bill.

How do I collect my Pottery?

At the end of your session, you will be given a receipt which will have a unique number on it and a list of all the items you have painted. You will need this receipt at the time of collection, we recommend you take a photo of this so that you do not lose it.

 

Unfortunately, without your receipt and unique code we will not be able to find your pottery with a name or description of the items.

 

Your item should be ready for collection in 1 – 2 weeks, we will notify you as soon as it is ready for collection.

 

Items need to be collected within 2 months, after this period we are no longer liable for your pottery and may dispose of it.
